Scot Nielsen has been the Micro Focus COBOL Product Manager since 2010. Scot began his career at Micro Focus in the late 1990s, working as a COBOL and C++ developer and has since worked in a variety of technical roles and positions, including a 2 year project based in Sofia, Bulgaria. As Product Manager, Scot is responsible for strategy and roadmap; he is passionate about the future of COBOL and highlighting the continuing role COBOL applications play in global IT systems. Out of the office, Scot enjoys the ‘varied and enriching’ life experiences resulting from 4 children, aged 4 to 18 years.
